Energy and Transportation Policy in SE Michigan

This is a starting point discussion on transportation and energy policy in Southeast MI. I would like for anyone to comment on such things as barriers to implementation, design issues, funding, acquisition or legislative hurdles. Any ideas that relate such as environmental health costs or impact on local residents are welcome too.
