Southfield Appoints Reps, MMC Appears in Next American City

This week, the city of Southfield appointed its Millennial representatives for the Millennial Mayors Congress! They are Brendan Mullane and Natasha Lampkins. Brendan is a civil engineer at Giffels Webster and a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy. He's also involved with Fusion, South Oakland County Municipal Engineers and the Rochester Young Professionals. Natasha works as a lending assistant at Comerica Bank and is currently pursuing a degree in international commerce. She is also a freelance writer for examiner.com. Natasha has volunteered with Comerica's volunteer organizations, Forgotten Harvest, CCS Wine Auction and Parkinson's Foundation. Congratulations to both!

Second piece of exciting news: the Millennial Mayors Congress got a taste of the limelight this month with an article in Next American City. Southfield Mayor Brenda Lawrence was also featured in an interview with five other mayors from around the country. Pick up a copy of Next American City and check out pages 24 and 49.
